Walk the Talk America - WTTA is a non-profit dedicated to bridging the gap between mental health and responsible gun ownership. Their mission is to enhance the perception of mental health among gun owners while elevating the standard of mental health care inside and outside of this community. They conduct research with firearm owners, offer training for healthcare professionals, and a variety of other resources.

Region 14 Sample Comprehensive Suicide Prevention Protocol Template - Establishing a strong local protocol for suicide prevention is vital to school safety, and to the supporting school counselors and administrators with carrying out safety and mental health responsibilities. Region 14 has designed this template to serve as a strong starting-point for districts to create a local protocol that is compliant with SB12 (89th Legislature.). Districts are welcome to click the link to create a local copy and edit according to your needs, or ask us about School Counseling & Mental Health Support Contract workdays if you’d like a consultant to aid creation of a local protocol.

Counseling on Access to Lethal Means (CALM) - Reducing access to lethal means is a powerful way to help save lives of students and community members struggling with suicidal thoughts. This link leads to the portal for an online self-paced course. ESC 14 consultants are also able to provide this training in-person.
