McKinney-Vento | Foster Care
Our technical assistance program is designed to provide training, guidance, tools, and resources to help districts comply with federal and state requirements while ensuring students experiencing homelessness and/or living in foster care have access to a stable and high-quality education. All 42 school systems are members of the Texas Education for Homeless Children and Youth (TEHCY) Shared Service Arrangement (SSA) with Region 14 ESC, which strengthens collaboration and ensures consistent support across the region. Training opportunities and technical assistance by Region 14 ESC are provided as required in ESC Title I, Part A federal application and through input obtained from Region 14 school systems to determine district needs for ongoing federal requirements.
