ESC 14 Care Package - A Post-Crisis Resource Collection

This Wakelet Collection was created to support schools that have been through an unexpected crisis or loss.  Within the collection you'll find statistics that support hope for recovery, signs and symptoms of PTSD with recovery timelines, simple recovery practices that anyone can do, and guidance on post-crisis steps that are considered best for agencies to follow.

Child Mind Institute - A guide to helping children cope after a traumatic event - the guide is divided by age level and could be used by educators or parents and is assembled by psychiatrists and mental health professionals who specialize in different crisis situations.  The guide is available in both English and Spanish. 

The Melissa Institute - A research agency committed to preventing violence and promoting safer communities through education, research, and support.  

Regional Victims Crisis Center - The Regional Victim's Crisis Center provides professional counseling for victims and survivors of violent crimes. Website and phone numbers are included here. 

"I Love You Rituals" Video Playlist  - This video playlist of rituals from Conscious Discipline gives examples of practices that may help students from new brain connections that support connection and trauma recovery.
