Bus Driver Training

Both initial certification (20-hr) and recertification (8-hr) training are offered by Region 14 ESC. The ESC establishes and maintains a database of school bus driver certification records, files reports, and assists school districts in maintaining strict compliance with the provisions described in all applicable statutes, rules, and requirements pertaining to the operation of the student transportation system. In Addition, assistance is provided in developing policies and procedures to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the district's school buses.

REGION 14 ESC ON-SITE 20 HR CERTIFICATION REGISTRATION OPTIONS:

Email a purchase order from your district to Tammi Davis at tdavis@esc14.net. Include the name of the attendant and workshop session number along with your PO.

When the purchase order is received and entered into the PITStop system, you can go into PITStop and register for the class.

To get an enrollment card for your new driver, we'll need the enrollment certificate form filled out and sent back to us with a copy of their CDL. They will also need to be registered for the next 20-hour bus driver certification course. The enrollment card expires 2 weeks after the 20-hour session.
