TEA Strategic Plan
TEA Strategic Plan
By 2030, the majority of jobs are projected to require training beyond high school, whether it's a traditional four-year degree, a two-year associate's, or a recognized industry credential. Currently, too few Texas students are achieving these postsecondary credentials.
To prevent a future of diminished incomes and opportunities, the state has adopted 60x30TX as our collective goal. Initiated by the Higher Education Coordinating Board, this ambitious plan is designed to ensure a competitive and prosperous future for Texas students and families.
TEA's Strategic Commitment
To drive the rapid improvement needed to meet the 60x30TX goals, the Texas Education Agency (TEA) has adopted a focused Strategic Plan. This plan guides our work for the more than five million school children in the state and is structured around:
-
Four Strategic Priorities
-
Three Supporting Actions
This effort is a bold commitment to expanding opportunities and resources for every Texas student.
