ABOUT | SHARED SERVICES AGREEMENT

ESC Support:

  • Prepare and maintain the Standard Application.
  • Serve as the Fiscal Agent for your TIVA-SSA federal funds.
  • Assist in completion annual compliance reports and district needs assessment.
  • Provide on-going professional development and support.
  • Provide staff and student access to resources that support all key areas.

Service Station Visits | Mobile Lab | STEAM Equipment Checkout Services

  • Provide access to a wide variety of tools and technology;
  • Facilitate group interaction, knowledge, and resource sharing;
  • Supply access to physical space for individual project development;
  • Provide an open environment for expression of creativity and innovation;
  • Access to equipment for prototyping project ideas for companies.

 

Service Station Visit Process

  1. User requests a visit and sets a date with the Digital Innovation team.
  2. A planning meeting is conducted one week prior to the visit with the teacher and students to inquire about the current learning objectives, TEKS, student interests, and current learning needs.
  3. After the planning meeting, the DI team works to create educational resources and activities that implement the curriculum, STEAM and engineering processes, and technology applications TEKS.
  4. Students attend the Service Station that has been specifically designed for them  and work through stations that engage prior knowledge and activate creative and critical thinking. 

COLLABORATION CO-OPS

  • All Teachers, Principals, Elementary Lab Managers, Technology Directors, Early Childhood Instructors, and District Instructional Technology Specialists are coming together to collaborate, inspire one another, and plan for innovation. Join us!

    THERE IS NO FEE TO PARTICIPATE.

    We have been able to bring in speakers, trainers, vendors, and provide interactive activities that push teachers beyond traditional methods.

  • A like-minded group of instructional technologists and innovators across Region 14 who come together monthly to collaborate, dig in, plan, share, explore, and support one another in technology and innovation.

  • The Digital Innovation team has supported TCEA invention/arena robotics competitions since TCEA first allowed students to compete. In an effort to continue the robotics since TCEA stopped hosting their student competitions, Region 14 has provided support in VEX, Best, and FLL (First Lego League) to provide competition opportunities and connection with career and technology education.

    Through Region 14, the Digital Innovation team has created a cohort for robotics called Gear Box.

    Gear Box is your ultimate destination for revolutionizing robotics education in the classroom! As a passionate group of educators, we strive to empower students with the latest knowledge and skills in robotics. Join us for our exciting monthly meetings, where we delve into robotics, igniting young minds with creativity and problem-solving abilities.

  • Initiated when districts began contacting the Digital Innovation team in regards to conversations on UIL implementing eSports as a competitive event. Region 14 Digital Innovation has been able to support surrounding districts with collaboration with McMurry University's eSports team. Recently, Region 14 has partnered with Taylor Telecom and the Fiber Gaming Network to provide free gaming opportunities for schools across the region regardless of service provider. Region 14 has been instrumental in creating a recruiting ground for higher education and industry opportunities in the Big Country.

    In collaboration with McMurry, this has led to hosting the R14 Warhawk Invitationals since 2023.
